In September of 2021, the 54 year old actor Michael K. Williams , who rose to fame in the TV Series " The Wire " , body was found in his Manhattan apartment. According to the medical examiner his death was caused to a drug overdose.

U.S Attorney Damian Williams says a surveillance video captured a hand-to-hand drug transaction between Michael K. Williams and Irvin Cartagena one day before the body of actor was found in his apartment. According to a federal complaint, the suspect had sold drugs to undercover informants for month prior to the actor's death. Cartagena was arrested in Puerto Rico and charged with a narcotics conspiracy , a federal crime.
